Operating Instructions
1. Fill up the measuring cup with dry soybeans, wash beans thoroughly and rinse with fresh water
2. Fill the container with cold water between the MAX & MIN marks
3. Place the dry or soaked soybeans directly into the container, position the machine head in the container
4. Attach the power cord to the Sonya Soy Milk Maker, the machine will beep and 7 cycle indicator lights will be flashing
5. Press the button to select your preferred cycle
6. The process takes about 20 minutes. Multiple audio beeps with flashing light indicate that the cycle is completed
7. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet first and then from the Sonya Soy Milk Maker
8. Lift the machine head from the container and pour soy milk on the strainer
Now fresh soy milk is ready for you. Be careful not to get the machine head wet
Important: This machine will flash and beep if there is no water in the container, it's designed to prevent from getting burned. NOT MALFUNCTION.

We were slow to contact tech support. When we called, it was considered a repair at that point. We paid over $40 for US post for shipping. We had to pay another $20 for shipping back. After it returned it worked for two months and one day it stopped and lights flashed again. My wife says we should add liquid before we connect it to power outlet. If it is how it works, then it is a lame design.My sister in-law has one and she had issues running it as well. She said she left it unused for a few weeks and it started working again. We did the same thing. After a few weeks it started working again. Hmmm. This is certainly not to our standard in U.S. We are used to electronics working all the time and do not have to worry about loading or unloading container before we plug it to the wall. I wouldn't say it's quiet, though (though I suppose it's not horribly loud - except for the beeping, but I guess that could be a good thing, it's impossible not to know when to unplug it). I like that the heating element is not attached to the head of the machine.I make at least one batch a day of soy milk. I'll update when I use the other functions. The soymilk tastes the same to me when using dry or soaked beans. I prefer to soak my beans, helps get rid of potential gassiness/ toxins from the beans. I suspect it's also easier on the machine if the beans are presoaked. I think it takes 20-25 minutes to make milk with the soaked beans, but that's an estimate. Some tips/ comments: 1) Depending on the amount of beans used and the amount of water, the unit can take awhile to cool off.
