Push the top button and the keypad lights up for easy entry at night.But... Know what you are buying. This model (575) does NOT have an old school lock/unlock button. This door is always locked from the outside. It relocks itself in 10 seconds. If you are working in the yard, you must enter the code every time you enter the house. I don't blame Schlage. It's my fault I missed this. I looked at a lot of brands and models and specifically looked for the stay unlocked feature, along with other features, but somehow missed it in the final purchase. Another limitation is it only allows for 4-digit codes. As background, we had a different brand for the last 3 or 4 years. It felt cheaper, and it actually broke. This...
