Charging via any USB outlet (on your 3D TV, Computer, USB hub, Sony PS3, etc) they save you from buying batteries that wear out after only a month or so of viewing. Some people won't like the light weight feeling of these glasses, which work well for those with contacts or not needing glasses. The 100 version, which costs more and requires batteries, does have additional bulk / room for a pair of glasses.Owning both the TDG-BR100 and TDG-BR250, I can say they are both good 3D glasses, yet, in the end I prefer the 250 for its feel and recharging ability.
